New York-based international management consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal has opened an office in Dublin by establishing a corporate finance practice. Niall Flood, a former KPMG partner and Uniphar finance director, will head the practice. Alvarez & Marsal plans to hire up to 20 people over the next two years. Former Irish banker Tom McAleese, who has been with Alvarez & Marsal for 15 years, was previously involved in European banking sector restructuring following the financial crisis.
