The man escaped while responding officers exchanged gunfire with another man involved with the alleged robbery. The man who stayed behind and fired at police was arrested by officers who surrounded the business.No injuries were reported, including among the people found bound by their hands and legs with tape inside the business, police said“It’s just an unfortunate situation, but the outcome was positive,” police Lt. Courtney White said during a Monday news conference.
The identities of the officers were not released during the news conference, but White said they had been with the department for three and two years.
