The Saudi reforms are meant to diversify their economy.

It needs to democratise in order to develop the skill potential of its people, and get out of the silly arms race. Long overdue.

Saudi Arabia has a strong advantage in a world of high carbon prices: its inexhaustible supply of high-intensity near-continuous solar power, a perfect feedstock for energy-intensive manufacturing industries.

That’s what their sovereign wealth fund is for.

The economy is diversified can't you see that they have implemented sales tax on its' citizens and increase the prices of gas twice within one year by more than double.Facts aside, you can't build an economy run by a family of dictators. Saudi Arabia still lives in the dark ages

Saudi Arabia cannot diversify from a primary resource economy to anything better until it comes out of the Middle Ages. Proper industrialisation needs you to stop treating women like prisoners of their husbands. Discuss.
