Kwasi Kwarteng said ‘nuclear is back on the table’ because it is considered a sustainable energy source, and would provide cheaper power eventually.

He has said the strategy – which sets out aims to boost new nuclear power, offshore wind and hydrogen – is a long-term plan focusing on energy supply, “undoing the mistakes of the past and taking the big decisions now”.

The assessment the government did 5-6 years ago showed exactly that! Bills would go up massively! Whilst renewables make bills lower!!
