Here the YEP takes a look back at the much-loved Leeds German Christmas Market over the years.The old Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Jane Dowson, enjoying the merry go round with Kurt Stroscher at the Leeds German Christmas Market back in 2017.

The German Christmas Market was usually organised in partnership between Leeds and Frankfurt city councils.Here visitors to the market in 2017 browse the goods on sale, ranging from trinkets to decorative pots for the perfect Christmas gift.Pictured here is the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Coun Eileen Taylor, and Kurt Stroscher, Director of the Christmas Market Frankurt City Council, back in 2019.
