What the heck is that all about! Sounds crooked to me

Can or Must? I mean Musk?

'Hedging' = shorting their own stock. That's just as criminal as insider buying ahead of positive news. And why doesn't the SEC require all hedge funds to disclose their short positions and quarterly short activity, the same way they require tutes to report 13F transactions?

biosleuth Criminal act how can company executives can short their company stock . They have all the inside information. Why not this categorized as insider trading

Does that mean public disclosure if an executive or director is allowed to hedge by the board where and when. Should companies even allow this? Performance based compensation and headging?

Another govt over reach

Why are insiders allowed to short their stock at all?

Poor George Soros what will he do? Soros Fund Management. ... It is currently structured as a family office but formerly as a hedge fund. The firm was founded in 1969 by George Soros and in 2010 was reported to be one of the most profitable firms in the hedge fund industry.

NO HEDGING AT ALL NO SPECULATING GOT IT GET IT DO NOT BET THE FARM

On the surface, this ruling would seem to add transparency. Most always a good thing. However hedging vs. insiders profiting from downward price movement. idk... I say make them stay long & uncovered.

Wonder when they will make it illegal for them to trade on inside information?

This rule hasn’t existed this whole time?
