About 2,000 Starbucks workers will stage a one-day strike at more than 100 stores today.

The union says it is striking to protest the retaliation taken against union supporters nationwide. It is also protesting what it characterizes as the company’s refusal to bargain with the union on a first labor deal. There are 264 stores that have voted in favor of union representation. But no contracts have yet been negotiated even at stores which voted nearly a year ago.

It’s not clear how many of the stores affected by Thursday’s action will be able to stay open during the strike. The protest comes on “Red Cup” day at Starbucks, when it gives out reusable holiday cups with certain drink purchases that entitle customers to discounts and extra bonus points on future purchases. “Culturally Red Cup Day is an important day at Starbucks. People do go crazy over it,” said Keeling.

Unionization will lead to higher prices less profits and people losing their jobs but im sure these selfish greedy leftist dont care

Overpriced and always burn or stale. $% them.

A strike will lead to higher prices profit loses and people losing their jobs but im sure these selfish greedy leftist dont care

Lol, can anyone just work with their head down for the grind & money, or are we stuck with cry babies who have to poke noses into others choices, while disrupting who they work for

Never been to a Starbucks.

Tf is one day gon do Either you want to boycott or you don’t

Back the bus up to the high school and replace them. Starbucks is not a career

Close these stores! Let them find jobs elsewhere

So

Ok…..

Okay. Makes no difference to me.

Hire woke crybabies, get woke broke Starbucks has the most generous benefits in the entire industry, perhaps even others, and it was still not good enough for the crybabies Truly astonishing

Now they will be called protestanista’s!

I don't know what I'll do if I can't get a $5 cup of coffee.

Unions are great. You give them money every month to pay them to sit around and bitch about your working conditions.

Workers strike to stop making shitty coffee. The world rejoices.

Duct tape here to fix things if needed.

It's abuse to make them sell that crap.

Way to go libs. A result of indoctrinating young ppl to think they “deserve” more.

Hand them a pink slip on their way out the door union are nothing but job and company killers they have outlived their purpose
