A man has slammed two train companies for driving him to ‘madness’ after noises from the tracks have kept him awake at night.last year in his quest for ‘peace and quiet’.

He said: ‘From 8am in the morning, you’re there trying to have a lie in, and you hear the trains chugging away.’A spokesperson for Chiltern Railways apologised that Barry had been disturbed by the trains ‘in the sidings near Amersham Station’. On November 21, between 1am and 3am, Barry claims to have been kept up by the ‘worst noise he has ever heard’.He said: ‘Men were banging with metal rods, doing something to the track.

After a day spent in a ‘fog’ due to lack of sleep, Barry was hoping for a better night’s sleep. However, the works returned the following night again from 1am until 3am.

Nevermind being incensed about trains making train noises on traina tracks at train stations, he looks like the skeleton of Alan Carr.

Isn't that chattyman 🤔😲😃

What a lemon..

Wonder if he's called Rodney..... 'You plonker Rodney!'

Must have looked at the house in the dark fancy building a house next to the railway

If only this had happened a few weeks ago – Barry could have put in a star appearance in the best selling 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Train to London' book 😂 chilternrailway TfL Captain_Deltic chris_railway

Why did he think it would close at 11:30pm?

If he didn't like the train noises then he shouldn't have moved to a house near a railway line! And since when has the Underground stopped at 11.30pm?

What a chump, assuming things makes an ass out of you !!! Nothing like a couple of 60s and 66s on Tesco and heavy aggregate trains to keep you asleep at night !!!

What a muppet 🤦🏼‍♂️

🤐

Like to couple that moved into a village and complained about the church bells ringing on Sunday……!!

Its like the man at Hounslow who complained about aircraft noise from the airport after moving there

You know what really helps you to sell a property you're 'desperate to leave'? Writing a story for a national newspaper about how much you hate it there

It beggars belief. I was Churchwarden of a church where a neighbour moved to a house right next to the church and immediately bitterly complained about the bells incl the clock which had regularly been rung for over 300 years

Railways have 'grand father' rights, if you don't like railway noise don't move to near a railway. Although not always the case

Move to South Yorkshire, northernassist are useless at running trains, there always cancelled. You will be fine here

Don’t buy a house near a railway if he’s that botherd…woman in Shrewsbury kicked if about trains being put in sidings ? But the railway has been there over hundred years

He's a grown man too ffs

This really isn't news is it?

Good luck* complaining against an authorising Act of Parliament. * he will have no luck

What on earth made him think trains stopped at 11.30? That has never been the case.

Has he never heard the song 'Down in the Tube Station at Midnight' ? Finish at 11.30 Indeed 🤣

He needs a couple of 37s outside his bedroom, for extra ambiance - wouldn't you agree TheGrowlerGroup ?

Vibes of man moves next to farm and complains about cockerel crowing in the morning!

Looks like a badly rendered AI guess at what a 10 year old would look like in 60 years.

Attention seeker.

Looks like Alan Carr on crack
