More than 8,700 nurses are prepared to go on strike Monday at 6 am ET if tentative contract agreements are not reached at several New York City hospitals.

That’s a drop from the original estimate of 9,500, after tentative agreements were reached late Friday and Saturday morning with other facilities. In a statement Saturday, the NYSNA said nurses at BronxCare and The Brooklyn Hospital Center reached tentative agreements that will improve safe staffing levels and enforcement, increase wages by 7%, 6%, and 5% annually during their three-year contract, and retain their healthcare benefits.

On Saturday, nurses at NewYork-Presbyterian announced that they agreed to ratify their agreement, but it was a close vote – 57% nurses voted yes and 43% were against. “Voting on whether to ratify a contract is a key component of union democracy. Just like in any democracy, there is rarely 100 percent consensus,” Hagans said in a statement. To date, nurses at five New York City hospitals who were slated to strike on Monday have now reached tentative agreements or contracts.

What is the real story

Got to love unions. Holding people hostage so the mob can get rich

So much for their Hippocratic Oath. More Union destruction. It’s no wonder Marx advocated for unions, they ultimately destroy business and the fabrics of societies.

I just keep praying that everyone can just be a little happier this year! 🙏

That’s why unions suck

See ya bye

Nurses Everywhere are over worked..under staffed and way under paid. FIX IT!!

Again, more unions taking more businesses hostage.

Fail

Bring in the scrubs!

We have too many resources in this country for anybody to have to fight for basic human rights. Smh...

Good for them. The are are so under appreciated for their work. They deserve better.

Bravo

Yep…. As they should! I’ve felt many times that my license would be ripped away from me for having 12:1 patients

Unions ruin everything

FLORIDA IS HIRING

Just leave NYC. Everyone else is.

I know this is off topic. But does anyone believe all 50 governors, the Supreme Court, Congress, the Senate, and the entire military would have blindly accepted Trump as president because a group of radicals broke into the capital? 24 hrs after Jan 6, Congress was back in session
