The $2.85-billion sale to Quebec-based Videotron of Western Canada’s Freedom cellphone network would expand Canada’s threesome of mayors in the cellphone market to four, Pierre Karl Péladeau told a House of Commons committee Wednesday. “We will be the long-awaited fourth player,” said Péladeau, president and CEO of Quebecor Media Inc., which owns Videotron, a Quebec-based cable, telecommunications and television broadcasting company.Read up to 3 free articles per week.
