"We have experience and have made investments in private companies, and that helps and informs us with respect to our investment decisions around public companies," Frigon said."I shudder to think how we would be gaining insight without our exposure to the venture side of the equation."This method, coupled with a painstaking diligence process, helps Frigon and his team figure out what stocks he should own.

He says he likes to stick with investments for anywhere from seven to nine years, although that's not set in stone. Sometimes a shorter dalliance is required, and on other occasions it makes sense to hold for much longer.
