For the organizers of the Kaulig Companies Championship, the golf tournament is equal parts fun for the community and a serious philanthropic force.

Tim Klepper, president and chief executive of Kaulig Companies Limited, addressed the media Tuesday.has a long history of golf in Akron, but Tuesday organizers spent as much time talking about the party atmosphere and philanthropic component as they did the competition.

So expect interactive experiences, a Bourbon lounge, music, 16th hole half-price birdies, 18th hole drawing and more. A kids zone will include putt-putt, face painting, mascots and more. Klepper added it’s a perfect event for area folks who weren’t planning to take a vacation. Last year’s win was Stricker’s third major victory of 2023 and the seventh of his PGA Tour Champions career.
