Companies jump on Avengers: Endgame hype to launch themed ads

PETALING JAYA: With the hype that is Avengers: Endgame, many brands have jumped on the bandwagon to promote Avengers' related content to their audience.

In promoting the TV series Nur 2 on Instagram, iFlix showed a 30-plus second of its character Hamidi planning something sinister as he utter the words"power of the hand", as he lets out a maniacal laugh and his right hand turns into gold - akin to the Infinity Gauntlet wielded by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

A post on Pos Malaysia's Facebook page shows a picture of Spider-Man riding a Pos Malaysia motorcycle in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The picture, which has over 1,900 likes and shared over 580 times reads"Setelah menewaskan Thanos, Spiderman tetap istiqomah menyambung kerja." Spider-man: Far From Home, the next Marvel Studio movie after Endgame, will hit local cinemas on July 4.

The condom manufacturer posted a picture on its Facebook page showing someone wearing the Infinity Gauntlet with their condom-covered fingers in a snapping position. The picture includes the phrase 'End AIDS indefinitely'. In a 27-second video clip which promotes the movie, the clip shows a still of its employees, and includes the phrase"Saving the everyday with one super app - payments, food, rides, delivery", a nod to the services provided by the company.
