Officers attached to the Gwa-gwa division of the Nigerian Police Force have resisted a series of attempts by unknown individuals hiding under the umbrella of the #EndBadGovernance protest to attack the popular Gwa-gwa market in the Abuja Municipal Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory .

Speaking with The Guardian, an inspector in the division, who spoke on anonymity because he was not authorised to speak on the matter, disclosed that the Divisional Police Officer received intelligence about an imminent attack on the market to carry out looting and swiftly deployed men of the force to foil any attempt on the market.
