Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane has assured the residents of Lusikisiki that the perpetrators of the mass murder that took place at Ngobozana VillageMabuyane, together with Police Minister Senzo Mchunu are in the area visiting families of the victims. They will also address a community meeting later this afternoon.
Seventeen people were gunned down while sleeping at the village as they prepared for a traditional ceremony over the weekend. One of the injured six, died in hospital on Sunday.“We can’t continue coexisting with criminality at this level. We are here today to continue making our presence felt. And to strengthen the police work that is being done while we continue with our awareness programmes after this incident. We’ll be meeting with families partly to plan and prepare on how we move forward.
