It works wonderfully well in destroying staff morale and goodwill.

My own experience is no, I sat through a week of been told that all white people are racists and then as the only non white person on the cse was informed by the teacher that she didn't have to tell me this. I went up the wall at her own racism

No we use 'common sense' it's really quite effective if your employees have an IQ higher than 10.

Best thing about diversity policies is that they cripple organisational effectiveness and that gives nimble, smaller competitors a chance to shine. And consultants get to clean up the mess.

No. We all pretty much laughed about having to do beforehand.

Does any training 'work'? Training succeeds if it shows someone how to do something (like operate a machine) AND there is plenty of opportunity to implement what is trained. For something as complex as 'Diversity', training doesn't even scratch the surface.

Should not come as a surprise. The counter productive effects of such training can be deduced from the old knowledge that any behavioral intervention can backfire. Such as “honor codes” in companies...

Fifty years ago in my work place we had women, Asian, Chinese, Jamaican and open male homosexuals (I'm a straight white). We talked about relationships, food culture and went on night outs bowling. We never needed or thought about deversity we lived it.

Its absolutely useless.

I hope they do not follow the Coca Cola example and the content should be to all races asattitude and behaviours effect how any one is treated Such training should not only be targeted at non BAME people

Yes, but then again we are a 20 strong dance troop trying to make it on Britain's Got Talent.

good luck

If you're genuinely racist, a 10 minute online learning course aint gunna change nothing
