The G7 countries have agreed to form a multilateral rival to China’s Belt and Road Initiative that would in theory offer poor countries an alternative source of finance

JOE BIDEN believes that America and its rich allies must offer poor countries an attractive alternative to Chinese loans and investment. It is not enough, he thinks, just to put pressure on them to spurn business with Beijing, the approach many argued was taken under Donald Trump. Today the White House said Mr Biden and his G7 counterparts have agreed to form a multilateral rival tothat would offer such an alternative, at least in theory.

Mr Biden says he broached the idea of a multilateral alternative to the Belt and Road on a telephone call with Boris Johnson in March. It is easy to see why. Mr Biden has made a point of courting European allies, in contrast to his predecessor. And there are few things more bipartisan and popular in Washington these days than.

But B3W appears to lack oomph to match the ambitious rhetoric. There is no overarching new structure to push it. Nor is it clear that Mr Biden or other G7 leaders will seek or be able to extract substantial additional funding from their governments . And it is unclear what projects would be pursued that are not already seeking support or under consideration.

Indeed finding the money, as opposed to the words, to stick it to China will be a challenge. Mr Johnson is. Mr Biden is struggling to get Republican votes for domestic infrastructure spending, despite his claim that investing on the homefront is important to America’s competition with China.

Why does America love Muslims in Xinjiang but hate them in Syria, Iraq and other countries,They lie all the time just like what they did to Iraq, they made fake evidence and made an incursion, sooner or later,U will know white is white trash

“In theory”, that’s a good one.

有钱吗?

China should accuse the G7 of stealing its copyright of BRI. Use yr enemy's weapon to fight back against them.

So is their 'debt trap' false propaganda? Or are they equally evil and do the same thing? In any case, only one is correct. No matter which is correct, it proves the shamelessness of G7.

Followers of Xi Jinping?

4. China is the new global macro and economic power. With the rise of China, many investors/ countries will benefit for the next 15-20 years. If you part of BRI, those countries are germane to the market, otherwise many countries will become irrelevant which are not part of BRI.

In other words we are fucked China is kicking our asss and we have Joe Biden oh yeah back to fucked

These mannequin shots get dumber every year

3. In my view as financial market commentator, BRI is going to win the infrastructure competition and China is the clear winner due to the strategic leadership President Xi Jinping and his team who are committed to deliver results for the global economy.

G7 are naturally morally bankrupt which had dirty record from slavery to colonialism, pillage and supremacists ideology. A group of international bandits, they've failed that's why developing countries are luking for alternative.

2. BRI is a strategic idea of Chinese leadership to enhance collaboration and cooperation to build trade and commerce among countries globally. It covers more than 65 countries , 40%of global GDP and 38% of global population.

Why always compete? Why be rivals? Why not work together? If the First World has plunged the Third World in poverty what makes you think they will uplift the 'poor' people? All they care is about money, war, megacorporations and corruption. They don't care about the have-nots.

1. BRI is the only winning infrastructure investment strategy that can spur growth globally—-these words were uttered by Sir Richard Branson when I had the privilege of attending annual meeting of WB/ IMF on Oct 12-2017 in Washington DC.

Will 7 horses 🐎 tame the dragon 🐉

Well so thanks to China poor countries can now have access to broader access to finances. Global competition improves welfare.

Blue dot network would fail miserably even if they put $100 trillion

Un éxito rotundo.

Is this copy or imitation?

FIRST thing we should do is lead by example. Presenting new spending bills that just increases the national debt and our reliance on China is a MAJOR part of the problem. President Biden needs to understand that talk is cheap, his actions have not put American investments first

As long as the US PAYS FOR IT.
