The Department of Agrarian Reform is planning to partner with food delivery service applications such as Grab, Toktok, and Food Panda to help farmers easily sell their products.
“There are some instances when the farmers just give their harvests to from heir neighbors for free because the cost of hauling them to the market is higher than the projected earnings,” he said. She added that the move would stop farmers from dealing with traders or middlemen who buy their products at a low cost.
