Many people have welcomed the bite-sized chunks of financial education now shared by influencers on TikTok, Instagram and other networks 💡 It's helped demystify the obscure world of stock markets for some - but it's also put others' finances at risk.

Meanwhile, the FIRE movement , has created a global community investing for retirement. Influencers in this niche may use Facebook and YouTube, but what they preach is the antithesis of the get-rich-quick stereotype that social media is sometimes unfairly known for.
