The woman and her grandchild were crossing the street after getting off the bus when a driver slammed into them, sending the pair flying.

Authorities on Thursday arrested the driver who hit a grandmother and her grandchild while they crossed the street in the City of Industry last Friday.

According to investigators both sustained minor injuries in the collision in the form of cuts and bruises, and are expected to recover. They were briefly hospitalized but since have been released.
