Confirming the incident, the Managing Director of the Anambra State Fire Service, Engr. Martin Agbili, said it affected a section of the market.
SaharaReporters gathered that the fire outbreak at the popular Ogbo Ogwu Market was caused by an explosion. The fire also destroyed goods and properties worth millions of naira. Agbili, however, noted that the actual cause of the fire outbreak was yet to be ascertained. He added that firefighters were at the market to put off the fire.
