When San Francisco hosts the 2023 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit a year from now, President Joe Biden and heads of state from across and the Pacific Rim are expected to attend, delivering a much-needed jolt of life for the travel and event industry.
Vice President Kamala Harris announced the 2023 summit would be here as she wrapped up her visit Friday to this year’s summit in Bangkok.The San Francisco Travel Association said the projected room totals are approximate but likely an undercount. Host hotels or others expected to provide rooms were not identified.
