Oakland’s historic YWCA building is for sale.
Harrison and Cliff said Tuesday the building has been listed without an asking price, with Oakland-based Highbridge is seeking the highest bidder.bought 1515 Webster for $19.25 million in the spring of 2019. Highbridge previously had plans to convert the property, which rises five stories above a basement level, to a 53-room luxury boutique hotel, public records from the city show. While those plans have not yet received entitlements, Harrison and Cliff said, they have been reviewed by the city, which has confirmed a hotel use could be permitted for the property under existing zoning.
