First, home building itself is due for a revolution/innovation. There has been little change in the past 100 years in how homes are built. Second, there is a need for the relase of sales data, instead of just listing data, that is sorely needed.
With Canadian real estate prices soaring, anyone with a bit of sense will just save up and wait for the inevitable crash.
