A similar sentiment was echoed by Margaret Hodge, MP and chair of the APPG on Anti-Corruption and Responsible Tax, who said that traffickers, drug smugglers, fraudsters, and scammers have been exploiting the UK’s lax and opaque corporate laws for years.
