Google is following through on CEO Sundar Pichai's promise last week to open up it AI tools to the public.

Google LLC has unveiled its response to ChatGPT.

Bard is based on Google's Language Model for Dialogue Applications, or LaMDA. The company initially plans to roll out a light version of the technology that uses less computing power, Pichai said. By reducing its capabilities, Google will be able to allow more people to access it. By adding that technology to its search engine, Google will be able to transform complex information and different perspectives into"easy-to-digest" results. Its goal is to help its search service offer more appropriate responses to queries that don't have a single, best answer.
