If Netflix doesn’t sell their DVD inventory, hopefully they will consider donating them to libraries

who knew DVD rental was still a thing. I still shed a tear when I walk past the building near me that once was Blockbuster.

Netflix Is Shutting Down Its DVD BusinessNetflix’s famous red envelopes are headed to the recycling bin of history. The company announced the shutdown of the DVD-by-mail business Tuesday ahead of its first-quarter 2023 earnings repo… They STILL had a DVD business? 😳 Always like their DVD service because it was the only place (After Netflix put Blockbuster out of business) where you could get any movie or TV show you wanted for $8 a month, but I cut it off when Covid started & never got it again - a shame cause there is no pace like that now. It was a good run. But once discs became a niche market and video disc rentals mostly shut down, it was only a matter of time. I enjoyed it in it's hey day, but once they started throttling new releases, it went downhill from there.
