Funding for the Kenhtè:ke Language and Cultural Centre comes from the Green Inclusive Infrastructure Fund. “Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na was one of the top candidates for this and their project spoke for itself,” Federal Indigenous Services Minister Marc Miller told media. For Executive Director of Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na, Callie Hill, its a realization of a 20 year dream.“It’s in my blood. It’s in my genetics. It’s just really important the value of your identity and how having your language, having a culture just places you in the world.”“We’re looking at raising another $2 million.” Hill said.
