A financial lifeline is being thrown to the struggling NSW prawn industry in the Clarence River after exotic white spot disease was discovered in August, but fishers say the payout is not enough

"We are devastated, absolutely devastated. Some of our fishers, all they do is prawn trawl. You can just imagine the state they are in at the moment," he said. "It has been a tough couple of months and I am pleased to announce financial support," Ms Moriarty said.
