PepsiCo earnings are coming, but the release will be more of a referendum on the impact of Ozempic and other weight loss drugs as it will be about profits and losses. Expect the stock to move as much on commentary about the impact of the new drugs as the release itself.
While Wedbush analyst Gerald Pascarelli expects sales to come in light, earnings should be all right. “ are largely expecting an in-line quarter though we highlight that since at least 2018, PEP hasn’t missed on earnings and has delivered beats in 21 out of the past 22 quarters,” he notes.
