Of the FTSE 100 constituents, clothing retail company JD Sports Fashion PLC JD, -3.85% saw the largest decline Wednesday, as shares dropped 3.85%

Kingfisher PLC KGF, -2.48%, a home goods retail company, and air freight firm International Distribution Services PLC IDS, -2.29% rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks declined 2.48% and 2.29%, respectively. Shares of tobacco firm Imperial Brands PLC IMB, +1.86% and investment advisors company M&G PLC MNG, +1.64% rallied 1.86% and 1.64%, respectively.

The pound was up 0.13% against dollar GBPUSD, +0.10% at $1.2303 and 0.05% against the euro GBPEUR, +0.06% at €1.1591.
