Shares of major international banks firm Barclays PLC BARC, -3.12% and food retail company Ocado Group PLC OCDO, -2.62% dropped 3.12% and 2.62%, respectively.
The pound was down 0.80% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.77% at $1.2215 and 0.16% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.16% at €1.1574.
