Among FTSE 100 constituents, residential building construction company Persimmon PLC PSN, +3.63% saw the largest increase Tuesday, as shares increased 3.63%.
Taylor Wimpey PLC TW, +2.15%, a residential building construction company, and residential building construction company Barratt Developments PLC BDEV, +2.12% rounded out the top five largest increases as their stocks increased 2.15% and 2.12%, respectively. Shares of wired telecommunications services firm BT Group PLC BT.A, -2.17% and wholesalers company RS Group PLC RS1, -1.63% declined 2.17% and 1.63%, respectively.
The pound was down 0.11% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.11% at $1.2204 and 0.41% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.41% at €1.1521.
