These are the stocks posting the largest moves in midday trading.

Check out the companies making headlines in midday trading. United Airlines — The airline stock dropped more than 8%. On Tuesday, the company warned that pricier jet fuel and a halt to the carrier's Tel Aviv flights during the Israel-Hamas war will eat into its profits in the last three months of the year. United and other U.S. and international carriers halted their flights to Israel earlier this month. Nvidia — The chipmaker slumped more than 3% a day after the U.S.

Abbott Laboratories – Shares rose nearly 3% after the medical devices company gave a strong third-quarter report. Abbott posted earnings of $1.14 per share, excluding items, beating analysts' estimates by 4 cents a share, according to FactSet. The company brought in $10.14 billion in revenue versus expectations of $9.82 billion. It also raised the lower end of its full-year earnings guidance.
