"There have been many challenges that can no longer be overcome, thus with heavy hearts, we are exploring other options for the business," it said.Started as a farm by Jimmie Lamb in the 1970s, the premier pork producer opened its door as a meat market in the 1990s.

The store was continued by Margie Lamb following the passing of her husband Jimmie, and has since been under new management after her retirement in 2019. "Through challenges and triumphs, Meadowbrook served the community with pride, offering quality pork products and supporting local causes through fundraising opportunities," the store said.

"To our loyal customers and dedicated staff, who are like family, we extend our deepest gratitude. You've been the heartbeat of Meadowbrook, and we'll cherish the memories forever."It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
