: The local authorities do not impose any restrictions on business activities conducted by foreign nationals who are married to locals and use their spouse’s name to operate businesses.

Jafni also said that while there are no restrictions on businesses operated by foreign nationals married to locals, hawker licences are not issued to non-citizens and foreigners in all 16 PBTs.
“PBTs do not impose any restrictions on licence applications if the applicant attaches all the required documents,“ he said.
