WASHINGTON — A company that makes ice cream products for several popular brands including Hershey's, Jeni's, Friendly's and ChipwichTotally Cool, Inc. of Owings Mills, Maryland has stopped production of the recalled products after FDA sampling discovered the presence of Listeria monocytogenes,While listeria infection may cause only short-term symptoms in healthy individuals, it can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant people.
The recalled ice cream was sold nationwide and includes more than 60 different products sold under a variety of brand names.
