President Cyril Ramaphosa says the soon to be finalised Public Procurement Bill will ensure that organs of the state pay SMEs within the stipulated time.The legislation aims to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and integrity in public procurement processes.
A statement from the presidency highlighted that the new law addresses weaknesses in the procurement of goods and services by state organs that have previously enabled corruption, including state capture.
