KUALA LUMPUR: An investigation is being carried out on a member of a company’s board of directors for allegedly using a fake “Datuk Seri” title.
Quoting Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman, it said the investigation into the case was carried out by the Pahang Commercial Crime Investigation Department. "The investigation is still ongoing and the case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code as well as Section 4 of the Pahang Emblems, Titles and Awards Enactment 2017.
It said that a review found that the individual involved has not yet been conferred the title by the Sultan of Pahang.
