It’s fair to say that many Malaysians have negative perceptions about Technical and Vocational Education and Training . Considered the last choice by many in our country when furthering their studies, many have the misconception that TVET graduates have ‘no future’ in the working field.
Taking to Facebook, IKM Kuching shared the successful career Dexter has had since graduating in 2012 with a certificate in welding technology. Afterwards, he moved to Singapore to work at the Heerema Marine Contractor for a few years.Now, Dexter is plying his trade at a company based in New Orleans and recently, he was even honoured by the company with a special award.
