Seattle police initiated a pursuit of a vehicle they allege was involved in an attempted burglary of a cannabis packaging company on Oct. 21, 2024. The individuals got away after the pursuit was terminated.

The Seattle Police Department said around 11:16 p.m. officers responded to a business in the 3600 block of West Marginal Way Southwest after receiving reports of a burglary. According to the department, a motion alarm was tripped at the business. A security surveillance employee saw multiple armed suspects cutting through a fence and attempting to break into the business. The SPD said other officers spotted vehicles that appeared to be one of the ones involved in the incident and activated lights and sirens.

The vehicle fled on Delridge Way Southwest while driving at high speeds, SPD said. It continued eastbound onto the West Seattle Bridge. The officers initiated a pursuit, and it was terminated around Fourth Avenue South and South Brandon Street. Police reported that the business did appear to have some damage to an exterior door. The individuals were not able to gain access beyond the stairwell and nothing seemed to be missing or stolen.
