The Southern Africa Tourism Services Association says South Africans can resume their travel plans after the situation calmed in Mozambique following disputed election results.
The association had issued a travel advisory on Wednesday asking travellers to postpone their trips amid reports of potential protests in the country. The association warned that travellers to Mozambique might experience interruptions at the Lebombo Border Post, potential business disruptions and possible protest action especially in Maputo.“At this stage, the latest update that we have received said everything is quiet in the country. So, yesterday people were returning to work, and streets were being cleared. So, there is no current knowledge of protest action.
