Recently, Commissioner Princess Eurika Mogane, who is deployed to Mpumalanga, conducted an oversight visit to the Oshoek Border Post to assess the procedures in place for assisting victims of human trafficking and gender-based violence.“Some of our people, some who are illegal foreigners, they are still afraid of approaching such facilities and structures that are set in place.
“However, there’s always room for improvement. For us is that cry of why is there a rise, what is happening at our border gate and what else can we do because the structures are there, the facilities are available. As I mentioned, a board is plastered on a window very visible to the public to see that we are here to help,” adds Mogane.
