Following the formation of a new government and cabinet in British Columbia, business owners are calling for action on what they describe as a crisis of escalating crime. Operators of local businesses, such as Vancouver’s Gourmet Warehouse, are facing daily theft attempts and significant financial losses, leading to fears of widespread retail closures if the situation is not addressed.
