An early morning fire has gutted a popular market in Gashu'a town, Yobe State, destroying shops with goods worth millions of Naira. This is coming less than a week after a similar incident occurred at Damaturu Bayan-Tasha market.
'As we prepare for a comprehensive response, we urge all communities to stay vigilant this harmattan season and take necessary precautions to prevent further incidents. 'Together, we will overcome this challenge,' the statement said. Meanwhile, Senator Musa Mustapha of Yobe East has expressed worry over the incessant fire outbreaks in markets and the attendant loss of goods and property in the state.
