Cuyahoga County Council approved $1.3 million to help advance plans to renovate West Side Market, but more funding is still needed before work can begin.

The Cleveland Public Market Corporation, a nonprofit that took over management of West Side Market in April, is planning a total $68 million renovation to expand vendors and improve the shopping experience at the historic site. But it needs more money to start the first phase.CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cuyahoga County is kicking in $1.3 million to help renovate West Side Market, but more money is still needed before the work can begin.
