Trump and SoftBank CEO Announce Investment into US Artificial Intelligence

What's NewPresident-elect Donald Trump and SoftBank Group CEO Masayoshi Son announced Monday morning in Mar-a-Lago that the multinational venture holding company will invest $100 billion United States projects over the next four years.Why It MattersIn a post to his social media site Truth Social, Trump said anyone making a $1 billion investment into the country will 'receive fully expedited approvals and permits, including, but in no way limited to, all environmental approvals.

'SoftBank, which is a technology group from Japan, makes investments into a variety of companies including Yahoo, Uber, DoorDash, Boston Dynamics and artificial intelligence company Nvidia.After Trump won his first term in the White House in 2016, he met with Son before taking office then as well. Son announced plans in 2016 to create 50,000 jobs and invest $50 billion into startups in the United States.
