The Malaysia-China Summit 2024 (MCS 2024) brings together participants from Malaysia, China, and ASEAN with the potential for trade and investment opportunities exceeding RM2 billion. Matrade Chairman, Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, stated that MCS 2024 will feature Matrade's International Sourcing Program (INSP), facilitating pre-arranged business meetings between Malaysian companies and international buyers.
Over the next three days, MCS 2024 will showcase exhibitors from various sectors and the Sub China Expo, highlighting advanced technologies and creating new growth opportunities. Reezal Merican encouraged all participants, including traders, investors, business owners, and government officials, to seize the opportunities presented during this summit. He emphasized it as a time to forge new partnerships and build a future driven by shared prosperity. The three-day summit, themed 'Prosperity Beyond 50' in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties, was inaugurated by Transport Minister Anthony Loke. Meanwhile, Reezal Merican noted a strong interest from Chinese importers and buyers seeking sources from Malaysia. Through its five offices in China, Matrade has successfully facilitated successful engagements between 38 Chinese buyers and Malaysian exporters. With 49 trade offices worldwide, Matrade continues to open new avenues for Malaysian exporters
