Super funds say policy stability key to more infrastructure investment | JennieDuke

Industry Super Australia chief executive Bernie Dean said superannuation funds were already major investors in Australia, but agreed more could be done to help pull the economy out of its downturn.

While acknowledging asset allocation and investment decisions were matters for individual super funds, Mr Frydenberg told this masthead there was a role for both public and private investment in productivity-enhancing infrastructure. Hostplus chief executive David Elia said the fund already backed local nation-building projects and expected there would be "further investments into the post COVID-19 economic recovery across Australian businesses, property and infrastructure" to support jobs.
