After Gbajabiamila Meeting, Ghana Considers Reviewing $1 Million Business Requirement

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila , and President of Ghana, Nana Akufo Ado, discuss bilateral relations on September 3, 2020.Ghanaian President, Prof. Nana Akufo Ado has suggested he is open to reviewing his country’s $1m capital base requirement for foreign businesses, Nigeria’s House of Representatives said in a statement on Friday.

“Though targeted at foreigners, it seems GIPC’s definition of foreigners is Nigerians,” Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, said in a statement on August 28.
